Ryan Alderson

Associate Attorney

Professional Background

Prior to joining The Melonakos Law Firm, Ryan Alderson served as an Assistant Solicitor in South Carolina’s 16th Circuit, where he tried numerous jury trials to verdict. Over the course of his education and career, he has had the unique opportunity to learn from and practice with some of the finest trial attorneys in the State. His career as a prosecutor taught him how to effectively build and successfully try cases before a jury. This hands-on experience has prepared him to advocate compassionately and zealously on behalf of the injured.

Personal & Community Service

Ryan graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence Award in the category of Trial Advocacy. During law school, Ryan clerked for the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, where he was immediately drawn in by the fast-paced excitement of trial and litigation; a career path he would ultimately pursue after graduation.

Ryan is licensed to practice in both North and South Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and all four Federal Districts in the Carolinas. He lives in Greenville with his wife, Ashley, a Greenville native, and their daughter. He is a member of the Greenville Bar Association, and he and his family attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, and experiencing the Upstate’s great outdoor recreation opportunities.
